This rosé speaks to the Pinot Noir grape, highlighting its fruit expression. Sometimes the fruit on a Pinot is described as black cherry which is fitting. The Godon brothers have also managed to hit the mark on making it ethereal, just there enough to captivate the imagination, pulling you back for another sip to chase the seductive wispy flavor. The upper Loire Valley is not far from Burgundy, which may account for the exquisite quality of the Pinot Noir grape which has its origin in that famous locale. The Kimmeridgian (late Jurassic period) soil may imbue some mineral tones, certainly helps bring out the delightful, light fruit, and works well to make a refreshing rosé.
